A hugely growing business in the South Lakes are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance professional

Your new company

Your new company is a well thought of local Manufacturing business in the Lakes with huge growth plans over the next few years. To support in this growth, the business are recruiting a dynamic and inquisitive Finance Manager / Director to work directly with the Senior Management team - ideally a candidate who is able to bring commercial expertise to add value and ensure the future financial success of the business.

Your new role

This is a pivotal role making up part of the senior management team with full responsibility and control over the finance function, leading a team of finance professionals and managing all financial aspects of the business, ensuring that costs are maximised and working with the directors to ensure cost savings and therefore profitability. You will provide accurate financial information in a timely manner and support your team in achieving deadlines. You will also ensure that processes and financial systems meet business requirements and that suitable adjustments are made as required. This role requires a commercial outlook, ensuring the status quo is challenged, and that you are assertive to ensure financial information translates into action. Stakeholder management is also key in this post, gravitas is required as are excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring you are approachable and supportive and are able to build relationships across all departments and certainly at senior level.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a proven track record working at a senior level in finance, ideally within a Manufacturing/Production/Construction environment. You will have examples of how your commercial accumen has supported business growth in your previous roles, and you will ideally be a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). It is important to our client that the right candidate has people management experience, as the business grows, so will the team, and so they require a passionate leader who leads by example and enjoys managing people and being hands on within a team. You will have strong IT skills and systems knowledge, always ensuring you are keeping yourself up to date on new technologies. You will be a natural decision maker, who is highly compliant upholding integrity at all times and challenging any governance that is not compliant or thorough. It is important to note that this role requires a professional who is required to work at both strategic and operational level.

What you'll get in return

You will receive an excellent salary and benefits package dependent on level of experience and amount of experience in Manufacturing. A basic salary will be offered between £55,000 - £70,000 including bonus, car allowance and generous holiday entitlement. You will have exposure working with the MD day to day, as well as other key members of the senior management team and have a real say and input into the business moving forward.
