Financial Analyst
Monday – Friday (8 hour shifts)
3 month position; paying $28.00 per hour.
The Financial Analyst I is an entry level position to support operational decision–making and projects. Gives financial support to local management on issues relating to large variances. Works with local management to provide financial and account analysis. This includes account and inventory analysis and adhoc projects. The Financial Analyst will report directly to Corporate Finance and have a solid line responsibility for all Finance employees in the plant(s). The Plant Financial Analyst will work closely with the General Manager, Production, Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources, and other departments.
  • Accounts Payable ? 2 hours/day
  • Coding Invoices
  • Procurement assistance
  • Maintenance Spend Tracking
  • Scanning Invoices to PNC
  • Taking A/P phone calls (vendors missing payment)
  • Sorting & Filing Packing Slips
  • Assisting Avantis Procurement Specialists, as well as Northbrook A/P due to their own employee shortages
  • Accounts Receivable ? 1.5 hours / day
  • Invoicing Delivery Receipts
  • Invoicing Drop Ships
  • Invoicing Tooling
  • Taking A/R phone calls (customers needing invoice copies, balance inquiries/disputes)
  • Special Projects
  • Finished Goods Inventory (assisting in aging report)
  • Aged A/R (already been given assignment to clean up aging prior to transfer to JDE)
  • Goods Received Not Invoiced report
  • Consumables Tracker
  • Managing Blanket PO?s
  • Month–End activities
  • Kiwi Documentation Prep for Integration (need to build 3,500 items into Kiwi from Amtech)
  • Analysis of financial statements, contribution margins, cost studies and production studies.
  • Works with local management to analyze capital projects. Uses incremental financial analysis to justify IRR and ROI.
  • Reviews the project actual results after installation and compares this to the forecasted benefits.
  • Work with local management on data collection to be used for financial forecasts for the current month and quarter.
  • Assist with the data collection to be used by plant management for the annual budgets.
  • Participate in physical inventories of raw material, finished goods and fixed assets.
  • Assist management team by supporting their departments with financial metrics and current, accurate information that allows them to manage the business based on good investigative analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Management with related financial skills preferred.
  • Prefer 1–2 years of hands–on financial analysis experience within a manufacturing industry.
  • Post graduate training or degree in Finance or Management desired.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a senior accounting professional preferred
  • Corrugated industry experience is preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and etc.,
  • Strong managerial abilities.
