Job Responsibilities:?Lead teams of auditors conducting independent evaluations of Company's strategic, financial, operational and compliance activities worldwide to ensure risks are properly managed.?Review and evaluate compliance with Company's Global Policy on Interactions with Veterinary Professionals and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) to help ensure Company's colleagues worldwide are interacting in an appropriate manner with healthcare professionals and non-U.S. government officials.?Ensure the quality and timeliness of audit planning, audit execution, and formal reporting of results to senior management. Ensure appropriate remediation and corrective or preventive actions are taken.?Present the results of audits to senior site and division management, including practical recommendations to address identified risks, requiring strong negotiation and influence skills.?Recruit, train and develop audit staff to ensure auditors are prepared for advancement opportunities Provide formal feedback and performance reviews to senior auditors and supervisors.?Participate as a member of Audit leadership in formulating a best in class organization and developing an overall audit strategy and partnering with our internal business stakeholders in delivering value added services to the organization.?Coordinate internal audit activities with Regional KPMG to ensure an effective and efficient audit approach and results.Develop People:?Directly supervise Internal Audit team members.?Responsible for orientation, on-going training and development of auditors by providing career coaching and counseling to ensure auditors are prepared for advanced opportunities?Assist direct reports in creating specific objectives and development plans ensuring the ability to measure success and development in a timely manner.?Provide performance feedback and written reviews on a periodic basis.?As an integral member of the Internal Audit Management Team, formulate strategies that effectively improve the department's ability to identify Enterprise Risks and develop audit processes that help ensure these risks are appropriately managed.Strategic Initiatives:?Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, including Business Unit management and external stakeholders (i.e. external legal counsel, KPMG), to understand their emerging issues and their impact on Internal Audit and to provide input on practical ways to ensure these issues are properly controlled.?Lead and/or actively participate on departmental and/or cross-functional teams addressing internal and external risks and trends that support the department's Strategic Business Framework. This may include designing and overseeing our audit approach for ensuring financial, operational and compliance engagements.?Mange initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of the audit function, such as training and development, audit process and communications to key stakeholders.Domestic and international business travel of approximately 25-35% is required.Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:?Proven track record to lead across complex functional teams by influencing often without authority.?Can identify risks of non-compliance and risks to key strategies and can translate into audit and risk oversight activities.?Able to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and influence outcomes and behaviors.?Strong verbal and writing skills, capable of communicating with all levels of management.?Ability to leverage technology to improve results.?Demonstrated ability to coach, counsel, train and develop skills of others; capable of growing leaders.?Acts decisively, holds themselves and others accountable.?Proactive in thought leadership of audit and risk oversight in financial reporting, operational and compliance areas.?Proven capability to effectively represent IA in interactions with CFO, Controller and other external stakeholders.Qualifications:Education:?Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field?Professional designations - CPA, CFE, CRMA, CIA a plusExperience:?6-8+ years of business/accounting, auditing, finance experience with a dynamic and progressive multi-national organization; mix of public and private industry experience preferred; Pharmaceutical and international supply-chain experience a plus.?Experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, process and controls and the ability to independently develop auditing approach to diverse integrated audits.
