Our European Service Centre office based in Swords, Co Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we're currently looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager.
Reporting to the Tax Director and based in the Shared Service Centre in Swords, Co. Dublin, as Indirect Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager you will lead a team of direct reports and be primarily responsible for overseeing all Indirect Tax filings.

Reporting to the Tax Director and based in the Shared Service Centre in Swords, Co. Dublin, as Indirect Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager you will lead a team of direct reports and be primarily responsible for overseeing all Indirect Tax filings.
The role: Your journey at Hertz
- Manage and motivate a multi-cultural team of VAT accountants
- Review indirect tax filings (VAT returns, Intrastat, ESL, etc.) for accuracy.
- Ensure timely filing of returns including payment of taxes
- Review/approve account reconciliations as per Hertz accounting policy and mitigate SOX risk
- Ensure team adherence to processes and procedures, striving to keep work manuals, desktop procedures etc. up-to-date.
- Identify and implement best practices and process optimisation.
- Develop harmonised processes across jurisdictions
- Support Indirect Tax Manager and other members of the tax team on tax technical matters (e.g. tax audits, tax technical analysis, implementation of tax legislation etc...
- Work alongside broader business colleagues on projects where tax input is required.

Your skills: Stand out from the fleet
- Experience of working in an indirect tax reporting role is essential
- Proven team management skills
- Degree in Economics/Finance or equivalent desirable
- Fully or part-qualified in a professional body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA,) desirable
- Knowledge of another EU language is highly desired, but not essential
