This position represents an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused individual. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have ultimate responsibility for all accounting payable functions within the Hotel.

Principle Responsibilities will include:-
  • Registration of invoices, reconciling invoices against Purchase Order Processing system
  • Reconciliation of third party creditor statements to accounting system and investigation of any discrepancies identified
  • Preparation of payment runs on a weekly/monthly basis and processing of required payments within credit term agreed with suppliers
  • Recording receipts and payments in the cashbook on a daily basis and performance of related bank reconciliations
  • Sending remittances on completion of payments to each supplier
  • Producing reports in compliance with month end and year end reporting procedures
  • Completion and maintenance of Capital Requisition Approval forms
  • Assisting with audit queries relating to the Purchase Ledger and related reports
  • Maintain accounting ledgers to ensure that the creditors ledger is accurate and up-to-date
  • Completion of creditor closedown procedures and production of related reports
  • Managing existing suppliers, including dealing with supplier queries and setting up new creditor supply accounts
  • Maintenance of historical records to support creditors ledger
  • Input of VAT on purchase invoices and confirmation of the correct vat entry associated with supplies


Competencies and Experience
  • 2+years' experience in a similar role
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and hardworking attitude
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, a naturally enquiring approach
  • High degree of computer literacy. Experience of Sage system would be an advantage
  • Highly motivated individual willing to meet strict deadlines and time constraints
