What you?ll do on a typical day:
  • Provide oversight of budgeting and forecasting for all overhead cost centers, including headcount and overhead expenses
  • Participate in regular meetings to understand overhead structure changes and updates
  • Manage Central Management risks and operational processes; communicate with the FP&A team regarding events impacting overall budget and forecast
  • Oversee the budget to actual variance analysis of responsible cost centers; interface with general accounting to ensure accuracy of financial results
  • Handle overhead allocation budgets and the monitoring of budget? vs. ?actual
  • Serve as the finance liaison for the Executive Leadership team, performing cost takeout analysis and financial analysis to support various initiatives
  • Focus on the automation of reporting, reduction of waste and the improved utilization of offshore resources to meet reporting requirements
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you?ll need:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 3 ?or more years of experience in a financial role, including management experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle), HFM, financial planning software, Microsoft BI and related technologies
  • Experience with large databases with the ability to utilize data from various BI systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access)
It?d be great if you also have:
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast–paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
