Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a well-established Business Services company based in the Staffordshire region who are seeking a Group Accountant to join their successful team.
As the Group Accountant you will provide day to day supervision support to the Group Reporting team while also maintaining relationships with senior financial and operational management team.
Duties
- Encourage consistent improvement including cost saving opportunities, while maintaining strong financial controls
- Preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss, cash flow, debt and capital expenditure
- Continuous review and challenge of Group accounting policies and GAAP to ensure practice remain at a high quality
- Preparation of monthly and year end consolidation and statutory accounts
- Comfortable with chasing numerous finance people around the business and building lasting relationships
Experience needed
- Experience of Group Accounting including internal and external group financial reporting
- Strong accounting and reporting skills
- Ability to produce high quality reports
Person specification
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA part/ fully qualified
- Strong communicator
- Personal confidence in their own ability
