Financial Accountant

Sitting within the Group Accounting and Reporting team, you will be tasked with preparing the results of product performance whilst ensuring a sustained focus on quality and consistency in guidance with their financial reporting process.

Description

The role will sit within the Group Accounting function and will encompass all aspects of financial reporting, business partnering and product engagement.

You will have a varied workload and will gain exposure to areas of the commercial business whilst displaying your technical accounting knowledge. Your key responsibilities are to assist the Group Accounting team with the preparation of consolidated results within the business. This will involve interpreting commercial issues and communicating with purchasing functions whilst using your technical accounting skill-set to add value to the financial reporting process.

There will be opportunities to get involved in projects to improve internal reporting standards in guidance with product performance. Furthermore, you will enhance management information packs to ensure that they meet the ongoing needs of the business.

Work alongside the parent company to identify areas to create and implement reporting policies.

Profile

You will need to have an inquisitive personality and the ability to engage with your colleagues to ensure the reporting process is efficiently improved. You'll have strong business partnering skills where you can effectively build relationships with Senior Management along with colleagues outside of finance.

The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills whilst boasting the interpersonal skills to take a proactive approach to work.

Newly qualified ACA accountant.

Ability to work to deadlines and an ability to implement the best practice around financial reporting.
