KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting :

- Supervise and prepare timely and accurate financial reports with insightful analysis and proactive recommendations to drive financial performance.

 Responsible for owning financial data integrity and accuracy for all financial data related to location and ensuring transparent communication.
 Oversee and coordinate monthly and annual financial close at location.

 Preparing periodic financial reports to tight deadlines analyzing and articulating insightful information on variances.
 Drive financial performance – Provide timely insightful financial analysis of financial results, trends, variances to budgets etc. to assist in focusing operations to drive efficiencies and to optimize and reduce costs.
 Assist with preparing periodic financial presentations.

Financial Compliance :

Develop a “world class” control environment at location to ensure a robust control framework and that assets and liabilities are effectively managed. (Ownership of P+L and Balance Sheet).
 Coordinate to ensure effective financial regulatory compliance to maximize cash flow efficiency and minimize risk for manufacturing and supply chain operations. (Payment Function).
 Manage effective communication with internal and external audit for the manufacturing and supply chain operations, including timely delivery of statutory financial statements.


 Inventory – Responsible for partnering with operations to ensure timely closure of work orders resolving any issues as they arise via effective proactive communication.
 Physical inventory verification –Assist in ensuring control accuracy of physical inventory counts and after approval of count data to timely update system inventories.
 Responsible for owning financial data integrity and accuracy for inventory and BOM related financial data related to location, highlighting issues and opportunities.


Deliver accurate financial data and required explanations to internal and external audit for the manufacturing and supply chain operations, for areas assigned.

Financial analysis

Product costing – Responsible for ensuring accurate product costing with insightful, transparent and comprehensive financial explanations of variances to standard and budget to drive continual financial improvement.
 Financial analysis – Prepare and analyze periodic manufacturing costs and other key financial data, providing insightful explanations of key variances and projected financial impacts of key trends and potential scenarios communicating effectively to both operational departments and corporate management.
 Proactively seek to identify opportunities to enhance financial performance and sustainably reduce costs.

Financial Performance :

Manage budget and reforecast process for the manufacturing and supply chain operations ensuring alignment with corporate requirements.

Team development:

Finance team development – Proactively lead, mentor and develop finance team to build a high performance finance team sufficiently scalable and flexible to assist in driving process improvement and financial performance.

Process improvement - Actively assist in driving financial process improvement and standardization of policies and practices.
