TT Electronics’ Sheffield facility is conveniently located between the M1 and Sheffield town centre. The site employs roughly 120 employees. Sheffield specialises in sensors, thermocouples, thermometers, transducers, transmitters, flowmeters and controllers. Our modern cell based manufacturing facilities are fully flexible for small and large batch runs, enabling us to provide short lead times even for customized products. The in-house manufacturing and testing is backed up by our own UKAS accredited laboratory for pressure, temperature, flow and electrical parameters. A team of field-based engineers also provide a full calibration, maintenance and repair service throughout Europe.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Financial Accounting Apprentice. Reporting to the Financial Controller and as part of the Finance Department you will assist with administration, delivering an efficient and professional financial accounting support.

We are looking for an ambitious, self-starting Apprentice, ideally Part-Qualified (AAT or early CIMA / ACCA) looking for a new challenge and willing to learn whilst in a full time role. Study Assistance will be provided.

    • Control account reconciliation
    • Month End Procedure
  • Sales / Accounts Receivable control
    • Daily Banking
    • Intercompany Balances
    • Sales Analysis Reconciliation
    • General Ledger Reconciliation
    • Sales Analysis Month End
  • Other Tasks
    • Cover for Commercial Accountant and Financial Controller including:
      • Costing
      • Pricing

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • Excellent GCSE results - particularly English and Maths
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Business experience through previous Apprenticeship
  • Part Qualified up to at least Level 3 (AAT or early CIMA / ACCA)

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with Journals and General Ledger
  • Experience of working with Sage ERP Software

Working Hours, Compensation and Benefits

  • 39 hours per week
  • 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thu; 8:30-16:00 Fridays 
  • Salary: £9000-£19000 per annum, dependent on seniority of the successful candidate
  • 25 Annual Holidays in addition to 8 statutory holidays. Holidays can be taken per hour
