This private equity backed business on the outskirts of Liverpool has significant plans to grow their business, hence why they have created a new role for an Assistant Management Accountant to join. Operating in the construction sector, they pride themselves on the quality of their service to customers, can boast of a 20% year on year growth and having a strategy in place to continue growing.

Description

As Assistant Management Accountant, you will support an experienced Finance Director in maximising growth opportunities and work closely with the senior management team to support performance across the business. Your role will consist of the following duties:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
• Ensuring the balance sheet and control accounts are reconciled
• Posting accruals and prepayments
• CIS reconciliations and returns
• KPI reporting and monitoring, as well as developing financial and business MI reporting
• Supporting the budget and forecasting process
• Supporting external audit process
• Supporting key projects across the business

Profile

The successful applicant must have the following skills and experience:

• AAT qualified or equivalent
• Sage 50 experience is desirable
• Exposure to working in a management accounts environment is essential
• Good business and commercial acumen
• Intermediate Excel skills - v look ups, pivots
• Strong communication skills
