German Management Accountant

A fast growing joint venture SME in Basingstoke requires a Management Accountant looking to step up into a more hands on position working alongside senior stakeholders in the European Head Quarters.

Description

As the Management Accountant you will be a pivotal part of the EMEA Finance and operations functions for this international group. The Management Accountant will be responsible for a range of activities in this highly diverse role which combines technical accounting and commercial exposure. You will be managing a portfolio of EMEA entities on a day to day basis, with a hands on approach with continuous management of accruals, prepayments, inter company, general ledger and reconciliations. But as the Management Accountant you will also be a key point of contact to other areas of the finance team such as AP and outsourced accounts to ensure accurate preparation of Statutory accounts and Tax returns. Regular European travel is also required for this position in particular to Germany.

Profile

For this Management Accountant role in Basingstoke we're looking for a qualified candidate (ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified) The Management Accountant will be reporting into the Head of Finance and will be presenting regularly to senior stakeholders so this person will need to be extremely confident presenting their findings. Previous experience in the sector is highly advantageous but not a pre-requisite for this great role. Experience of Sage 200 would also be desirable. Experience of German accounting standards and German language skills would be preferable.
