Our client is a global manufacturer with a reputation for excellence based in the Cheltenham area.
Description
The Financial Reporting Analyst will:
Build relationships with and be the primary point of contact for Finance Managers, helping them meet group financial reporting requirements
Ensure key financial reporting deadlines are met to the highest level of accuracy and reliability, specifically monthly and quarterly set reporting schedules
Work with operating companies on all financial submissions helping them to ensure that accurate and reliable financial data is submitted into ERP system
Challenge inconsistent results, checking accuracy and reliability and flagging concerns
Understand and support the use of the financial reconciliation tool, making sure the flow of data though the various steps is accurate from start to finish
Promote the use of ERP at an Op Co level, adding value to the finance managers and their Operating Units
Own and deliver the weekly orders, sales and forecast report on-time and without error
Design/develop new and innovative ways of checking the accuracy of data submitted from multiple sources
Show overall improvement in key financial data quality via reconciliation, validations and checks, allowing us to present more accurate reports to the finance community
Become the expert on how key metric calculations are performed by learning the rules, validate and enforcing consistency
Identify needs and deliver training within the Finance Manager community
Work closely with the central finance team to resolve reporting issues, correct submission mistakes and provide support in use of the ERP suite of tools
Make sure that Group Information procedures are followed to ensure data integrity at all times
Make recommendations on how to improve existing reports and processes to align with business requirements
Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Intermediate/Advance Excel skills
- Previous experience using ERP systems advantageous (desirable)
- Relevant industry experience (desirable)
