Corporate Finance Analyst

Fantastic opportunity to join this full service indie film & TV group that works with many of the leading film-makers and distributors in the industry pre-dominantly in a financing capacity but also in a sales and 3rd party production/distribution capacity.
Their work includes many of the most critically acclaimed and recognisable UK/European Film & TV in recent years and they have a healthy slate in development. They have successfully partnered with the leading producers/distributors in Europe to provide growth capital to the entertainment business.
They are now looking for an Investment/Corporate Finance Analyst to join their fast-growing business development team:
Main Responsibilities
·Perform timely analysis of new investment opportunities & help to articulate the appropriate investment thesis, quickly grasping & summarising salient points & making recommendations
·Providing industry and comparable company research - particularly on high growth, disruptive companies
·Investment analysis/ proposals, modelling, commercial due diligence & valuations
·Project management over M&A transactions, liaising with management, advisors, lawyers and bankers on transactions, setting milestones, project timetables etc.
·Coordinate & process external financial due diligence reporting on investees, ensuring key recommendations are followed up on
·Assist in the day to day coordination aspects of running an investment portfolio, providing support to the Head of Business Development
·Reporting and forecasting working capital and cash flow analyses
·Contribution towards company reporting; including Financial Dashboard summarising monthly financial information from investees & ad hoc contribution to any other papers on investee performance including Board/ Audit Committee reporting on Fund issues
·Following up on work needed arising from investee Board meetings & management accounts
·Sensitive handling of confidential information in reviewing financial & other management information
·Other ad hoc duties as requested
Required experience
•Top-tier university degree, with a focus on corporate finance
•Strong analytical skills (previous experience in investment banking/M&A/PE is a plus)
•Have a very good command of financial modelling in Excel and of PowerPoint
•Enthusiastic and hardworking
•Enjoy working in a small team and entrepreneurial environment
•Excellent financial analysis, modelling & valuation skills (Advanced Excel skills)
•Proven experience in research to assist with origination work such as identifying and mapping the industry and its key companies, and identifying potential investment targets that meet the fund's investment criteria
•Ability to practice and evaluate a variety of investment appraisal methodologies including, but not limited to NPV, DCF etc. To include experience of valuing high growth early stage companies
•Experience in reviewing external due diligence & identifying key issues
•Excellent presentation skills (Advanced PowerPoint skills)
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•Experience of dealing with external professional services firms
•Excellent commercial awareness
