The opportunity

We are looking for a Consultant within the Accounting Compliance & Reporting team in our Sydney office. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support our clients with their accounting and statutory reporting obligations.
  • Assist a range of local and inbound clients with their bookkeeping and management accounting needs including virtual CFO services.
  • Support clients through their financial statement close process and preparation of statutory financial reports, including management accounting needs and the preparation of Australian Accounting Standards and/or IFRS financial statements.
  • Work across multiple projects and clients both autonomously and as a team member, collaborating with our global network of resources.
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience in preparing/reviewing statutory financial reports
  • Previous experience in business and corporate services, preferably within chartered environment
  • Completed or undertaking CA/CPA qualifications
  • An audit background is preferable
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounting and in particular technical skills related to month and year-end close-off processes including adjustments, reconciliations and reporting
  • Understanding of the process to prepare financial statements
  • Understanding and experience with statutory reporting review and the various Australian statutory reporting requirements
  • Practical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards or International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Excellent client facing skills with the confidence to build a network
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience with cloud accounting packages including (Xero, Xero App's & MYOB)
  • Experience with MS Dynamic NAV, SAGE and Netsuite would be preferable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management/organisational skills.
