An exciting opportunity has arisen to be appointed as deputy to the HSCP Board's s95 officer (Chief Financial Officer). The HSCP is an established innovative partnership, responsible for delivering all primary care, local community health and social care services to the population of West Dunbartonshire in an integrated way. The HSCP is a full partnership between West Dunbartonshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Working as an integral member of the HSCP Senior Management Team the Finance Manager will contribute significantly to the overall performance of the team in a role which encompasses interpreting highly complex financial and planning issues and providing expert technical, accounting and business planning input and advice.
This is a role which demands exceptional skills and abilities that will have been gained in a large complex organisation with a strong focus on supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Heads of Service in ensuring the efficient management of budgets (approx GBP155m) across the partnership. Including medium to longer term financial planning reflecting the financial benefits of service redesign and efficiency options to demonstrate effective use of limited financial resources.
With a demonstrable track record of success in understanding the complexities and diversity of health and social care services and integrated joint boards. You will have the ability to motivate staff at all levels to achieve successful budgetary management and control along with supporting service improvements and transformational change projects.
To ensure the HSCP adapts and modernises current financial practices in response to the demands of on–going statutory and legislative changes as the Health and Social Care Partnership Board work with West Dunbartonshire Council and Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board to deliver its statutory obligations as defined within its Integration Scheme.
