The role of the Credit Controller will be to chase up late payments from outstanding sent invoices to customers.
You will be working within a team of Credit Controllers each handling their own ledgers and will be reporting to the Credit Control Manager.
The Client is a well established retail company who are looking to grow their Trade and Services departments as they continue to expand their services. The position is for their central London office with great transport links.
The key responsibilities will be;
- Chasing outstanding payments by phone, letter and email, giving 7 day notices and threatening legal action.
- Negotiating payment terms with customers.
- setting credit limits with customers and carrying out financial checks on customers.
- liaising with Sales Ledger teams.
The successful Credit Controller will be resilient with great communication skills.
Effective working in a team and on their own to meet deadlines and targets.
Will have exposure to working in trade and services and to Credit Control responsibilities.
A proven track record in collecting high volume debt.
High level of attention to detail.
