We are currently recruiting a Maternity Contract for a key client in the North East, the main purpose of the role is to assume responsabilty for the financial statutory accounts process at a group level.

A Global business based in the North East with exciting growth plans taking place at a Group level.

Description

Main duties required for this Maternity contract are detailed below:

  • Understanding new or updates to accounting standards and parent company accounting policies in order to advise the business impact to Group, divisional teams and local teams on a timely basis

  • Liaise with new businesses to identify differences between local accounting policies and the company accounting policies and provide relevant guidance

  • Provide technical advice which will influence stakeholder / business decisions

  • IAS19 group pension lead, responsible for year-end accounting, statutory accounts disclosures, input into forecast and budgeting processes, and providing guidance to divisional and local finance teams

Profile

The ideal candidate will have an Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong in-depth knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS & statutory reporting processes.
