Financial Accountant (3 Month Tempory, Cover long term sickness)

Purpose

Perform multiple accounting duties to ensure monthly reporting requirements are fulfilled within stipulated guidelines.

Requirements

· Educated/Qualified to ACCA/CIMA/Accounting Qualification.

· Microsoft Office – Particularly Excel & Word Essential.

· Experience in the Financial Accounting function in a large organisation is desirable.

· The job holder must have a thorough grounding in book keeping, double entry and Financial Accounting principles.

· SAP experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

· Assist with FACTS+ group reporting system, ensure P&L and Balance Sheet are accurate and delivered to Group within required deadlines.

· Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed for general ledger accounts, manage the SAP TB.

· Key month end responsibilities including journal postings, Recoveries, Suspense Account clearing, reporting, Excel management.

· Assist the team to ensure month end deadlines are achieved.

· Assist with audit requirement and Statutory Accounts preparation where.

· Timely and accurate posting of key financial accounting information

· Contribute to process improvement where needed

· GL Internal control guidelines are met in all general ledger transactions

Effective Co-ordination and communication are central to this role

* AD&S controlling team and other departments including:

* Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable Analysts

Nature of Task

· Ensure timely submission of group reporting via FACTS + group reporting.

· Preparation of monthly group reporting and all commentaries.

· Ensure Airbus D&S Accounting instructions are adhered to.

· Perform nominated general ledger reconciliations and monitor and clear reconciling items

· Ensure timely reversal of month end journals

Challenges

Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of output.

Must be able to maintain relationships during stressful periods.

The position is to cover long term sickness over a 3 month period, and a great opportunity to work for a multi £million function.

The hourly rate for the role is £17.00 PAYE and you would be expected to work a 35 hour week.
