Reed Accountancy are currently recruiting for a Accounts Assistant for a fantastic opportunity in Birmingham city centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a keen individual who is interested in finance and looking to expand their knowledge in accounts, whilst gaining valuable experience within our growing team based in Birmingham.
You will be primary accountable for assisting the accounts team with their daily duties and fully maintaining the Purchase Ledger, the role would ideally suit someone who is currently working or has previously worked within the finance department, previous experience within property management is preferred but not essential for the right enthusiastic and ambitious candidate.
Duties include but are not limited
Purchase and Sales Ledger
Supplier account reconciliations
Credit Control
Assisting the finance team with month end and year ends
Cash Book & Bank reconciliations
Adhoc and general administration as required.
Skills and qualities ideally you will have/be
Reliable and a driven individual with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good IT skills and good working knowledge of Excel.
Strong team player and have the ability to work under pressure throughout busy periods
Self-motivated keen to learn and be able to use your own initiative
Proactive
Ability to multitask and prioritise whilst delivering a high standard of work and having attention to detail
Confident and Meticulous in your approach
The position is for 37.5 hours per week offering 25 days holiday including bank holiday.
