This Manufacturing and Production group have great financial stability through effective management accounting and cost accounting for which they require an individual to assist the Financial Director in closing month end and providing accurate accounts. Based in Stowmarket they require a Part qualified/ finalist (ACCA/CIMA) studying Accountant/ Analyst with a large commercial bias to add value on a daily basis through regular business partnering and pushing back to stakeholders when required with a key focus on cost accounting

Description

Finance Business Partner duties and responsibilities;

• Ensure integrity in the provision and completion of management reporting and accounting at month end
• Assist the FD in the completion of Quarterly rolling forecasts and Annual Plans and Forecasts for business segment
• Preparation of monthly finance reports and analysis
• Cost accounting
• KPI management and reporting
• Balance sheet analysis
• Manage the interface between the business segment and Group Shared Services or local support functions to ensure compliance with all Group, Services and Statutory obligations
• Completion of weekly cash forecasts and management of local working Capital i.e. WIP/Debt
• Provision of front line support to business segment management including ensuring early warnings of deviation to forecast are provided to local and central management
• Supporting new contract tenders and mobilisations, establishing all financial reporting requirements

Profile

Finance Business Partner desired experience and characteristics

• Must be studying towards a professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA ideally at the final stages or actively part qualified
• Previous experience in a similar Finance position with experience of cost accounting ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Experience within a position of similar responsibility or assisting a similar role with the desire to step up
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience is essential
• Ability to manage pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Feel comfortable challenging operational management at all levels
