Job Description

Responsibilities

This is a 6–month internship, beginning of July and will last through the end of December.

Mission:

The Accounts Payable Specialist Intern will perform a variety of duties including 3–Way Match process of invoices, leases and contractual payments, monthly PC Uplift entries for freight, duty and miscellaneous expenses, audit/reconcile invoices in Ariba, post data to the financial accounting system, reconcile vendor accounts, troubleshoot discrepancies and issues and complete other related Accounts Payable tasks as required.

Major Accountabilities

  • Reconcile and process vendor invoices in the ERP financial system for payment
  • Ensure wire payments are processed and applied in the financial system
  • Upload expenses for various vendors to the general ledger monthly
  • Reconcile invoices in Ariba
  • Follow up on vendor emails and phone calls timely and in a professional manner
  • Trouble shoot problems effectively and provide service and support to associates throughout the organization and building relationships with cross functional business partners to achieve financial results for area of responsibility
  • Support an environment that fosters respect for the ideas of others and model's compliance with company policies, procedures and value
Requirements for Success:

  • 1 to 4–year Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of standard Accounts Payable processes and practices
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem–solving skills
  • Effective communication skills at multiple levels within the organization
  • Experience with online guided buying tools
  • Proficient PC skills, including MS Office Suite and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Ariba would be a plus.
