Commercial Financial Analyst

International Insurance business is recruiting for a Part Qualified Commercial Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team. Based in London (South East).

Description

Reporting to the Manager of the FP&A team, you will be working alongside a 5 strong team and duties will include:

• Assisting with analysis of scheme performance, including commentary, forecasting, monitoring key performance levers and working with the business to improve scheme profit margins.

• Supporting operational efficiency reporting, including analysis of cost base by cost centre and expense type, linking to operational performance, cost per file, and working with business to identify opportunities of reducing expenditure.

• Assisting with the production, distribution and review of the local financial BI management pack. Ensuring report accuracy, implementing enhancements and ensuring underlining financial data is accurate and complete.

• Supporting the Commercial Finance Analyst (Senior) with Local & Group budget/forecast requirements as necessary.

• Supporting the delivery of Group and regional reporting including Dimensions Report analysis including validation and commentary.

Profile

You will have a sound grounding in accounting and be an early to mid stage studier of ACCA or CIMA and keen to now move your career into a more analytical and commercially focused direction.

Excellent communication skills as this role will require you to interface across the organisation with a confident and articulate manner.

Curious and driven nature.

Sound Excel ability.

Ideally from a mid to large company background (does not have to be FS or Insurance although that is an added benefit)
