Interim Financial Controller
Ignata Finance are partnering a global business with offices in Crawley, to recruit an Interim Financial Controller.
Job purpose
You will be responsible for the effective day to day management of all core finance processes, provide sound financial management and efficient/robust processes. You will be a highly professional person who is analytical, strives to challenge the status quo, has a commercial mind-set and is able to engage with non-finance staff to provide a story around the financials. You will have responsibility for co-ordinating 7 teams, liaising with the parent company overseas and any queries they may have. You will be technically strong, ideally from a PLC background, with good team management experience. ACA qualified is preferable.

Key role responsibilities
- Lead the effective management of the Finance Reporting, Accounting and Control Team
- Lead the full end to end process for the preparation of the consolidated management accounts, statutory reporting packs (including variance analysis and commentary) and intercompany reconciliation process
- Review of regulatory returns
- Lead and drive an efficient process for audits across the finance department, including being the key point of contact for the audit partner
- Overseeing the process for the preparation of the statutory financial statements
- Own the general ledger including chart of accounts
- Own the end to end balance sheet reconciliation process
- Own all aspects of billing and settlement across finance (money flows, policies, processes and group documentation) ensuring adherence to agreements
- Work in collaboration with the Head of Finance Ops and Transformation driving enhancements
- Ensure adherence to latest accounting standards, group accounting policies and best practice
- Review of all new contractual and proposition arrangements from an accounting and taxation perspective
- Key finance lead for finance data, liaising as appropriate with the data team
Key skills and capabilities
- Strong ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with a proven track record in financial and technical accounting, financial controls
- Excellent communication skills, ability to make the complex simple, communicate at all levels
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Team Player, collaborative
- The ability to lead, develop and motivate a finance team.
- Excellent written, and organisation skills
