Our partner is a global charitable foundation, investing in technology, building and strengthening local institutions, and advocating and influencing local policy. Their programmes span across different areas including education, health & nutrition, empowering agricultural communities and establishing sustainable livelihoods. They are seeking a management accountant to oversee the controls, accounting & financial management of the extensive UK property portfolio of the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial management of all aspects of the foundation’s UK property portfolio.
- Establish and strengthen financial systems, procedures and controls, and regularly review and update these.
- Develop a monthly cashflow projection and analysis process.
- Ensure that budgets and financial reports meet the requirements.
- Prepare monthly management analysis and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Assist in the audit preparation, including preparing audit schedules and attending audit meetings, and manage follow up of external audits.
Person Specification
- Qualified accountant with experience in financial accounting, management accounting and reporting.
- Experience of designing financial systems and developing controls and procedures.
- Advanced MsExcel user.
- Excellent command of the English language, both in a written and oral capacity.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Diplomatic and able to deal with external and internal stakeholders with tact.
- Knowledge of charity accounting, VAT & company legislation is desirable.
