Financial Controller position within a strong SME environment based in Wilmslow. Newly developed role, giving the ability to make it your own.

A Wilmslow based professional services SME, with a successful and profitable background.


Financial Controller Role:

  • Ensure all duties are being performed on time and accurately.

  • Manage the monthly production of accounts

  • Play a key part in ensuring budgets and forecasts are produced in a timely and efficient manner

  • Monthly review meetings organised with senior Finance team

  • Monthly reporting completed

  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and uploads

  • Quarterly VAT return submitted

  • Annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting

  • Capital expenditure approvals, tracking, post investment appraisals

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis on key business drivers

  • Ad hoc project and procurement support

  • Identify & implement system and reporting developments to maximise efficiencies and understanding

  • Support audit process

  • Support internal/external stakeholders with upskilling, training, queries as required


The successful Financial Controller Candidate:

  • Qualified, ACA, ACCA or CIMA

  • Ability to interpret varying quantities of data and identify key drivers

  • Excel skills

  • Organised with good time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Proactive individual

  • Knowledge of ERP systems desirable

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
