Reporting to the Finance Director the Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of the transactional based roles within the Finance Team - This will include overseeing Staff Expenses, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger/Invoicing and Credit Control.

  • Manage and mentor a team of 5-10 staff
  • Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company i.e Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Nominal Ledger transactions and Bank/Cashbook
  • Manage weekly cashflow forecast process
  • Manage month-end close of transactional ledgers
  • Manage preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Set, manage and monitor performance against Transactional Team KPIs
  • Drive process and system improvements
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist in audit process


  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of managing
  • Experience of working with transactional teams beneficial
  • Understanding of financial controls
  • Thrives in a changing environment
  • A strong team player - able to engage other team members
  • Ability to liaise with Senior Management and push back where necessary
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Experience of Sage software preferred but not essential

Job Offer

Up to £50,000 + potential 10% bonus (dependent on individual performance)
