European Financial Controller

The role has diverse responsibilities at a growing and dynamic company, from monthly financial close in accordance with US GAAP, P&L analysis, and maintenance of internal controls. This position will maintain strong relationships within the organisation.

Our client is a large US business who deal with forensic analysis and consultancy. They work with corporate businesses and governments across the world.

They are setting up an office in Richmond, where The European Financial Controller will be the face of finance for the European entities.

Description

The European Financial Controller will be responsible for

Financial Strategy and Execution

Prepares the periodic consolidated financial reports including European international subsidiaries. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of US GAAP adjustments and maintaining the reconciliation between local GAAP/statutory financials and the US GAAP financials. Issues written analysis to key stakeholders including company president, divisional CFO, and other business leaders.

Financial Reporting and Integration

Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other members of the organisation across departments, divisions, and locations; functions as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; supports the goals of the department, division, and organisation; participates in special assignments and activities as required or approved; demonstrates initiative in the interest of the client and the organisation

Profile

The European Financial Controller will have US Gaap experience in big international companies.

You will have the gravitas to build relationships with colleagues all across Europe and then report to the US.
