WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Majority of work is office based with some time spent visiting external locations such as the Group sites or government agencies.

  • JOB SUMMARY:
    The Senior Project Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial expertise throughout the client’s capacity procurement process.

  • This includes developing detailed risk/benefit analysis to inform decisions relating to potential projects or asset acquisitions, conducting market analysis to ensure that the group procures capacity at least cost and ensuring financial due diligence and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.


MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Finance

  • Conducting the project financing dimension of the client’s procurement tendering and award process in coordination with the Project Financing Department Manager. This includes:

  • Developing project financing requirements for incorporation into capacity procurement tendering documents

  • Reviewing, in detail, the viability of financial structuring options submitted by potential developers in coordination with the client’s Projects Team, Commercial and Project Finance Department Managers

  • Developing detailed risk/ benefit analysis for potential asset acquisitions

  • Conducting due diligence and credibility checks against potential partners

  • Evaluating capital structures and financial arrangements, ensuring compliance with applicable UAE and international laws and regulations

  • Building financial models for new capacities and life extensions

  • Supporting the communication of financial analysis to senior management and leadership stakeholders to inform bidder selection and contract award

  • Assisting financial negotiations with industrial developers/technology providers

  • Ensuring all relevant documentation and information is provided to Commercial and Project Finance Department Managers and Capacity Procurement Director in obtaining General Secretariat of the Executive Council (GSEC) approval of award recommendation

  • Supporting and monitoring the financial close of approved projects in coordination with relevant financial institutions and government bodies

  • Conducting detailed market analysis to identify and evaluate project finance developments, ensuring the group continues to procure capacity at least cost

  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with financial institutions, promoting the Group as a reliable counterparty for capacity investments
