If you are looking for a project based balance sheet management role and not the typical "accounting" role, then apply for: Operations Finance Analyst – Balance Sheet Management We are building a new Balance Sheet Management team in Sofia, Bulgaria with the main purpose to contribute to the achievement of financial and business objectives through ownership of various key study–level project balance sheet accounts, which includes proactive and accurate: evaluation, monitoring, reconciliation and reporting of results to key stakeholders within the business. We have an excellent opportunity to join our new team as an Operations Finance Analyst. You will be an integral part of a talented global team working in a fast–paced environment, responsible to provide timely and accurate financial management of balance sheet accounts and regular reporting to support the company in achieving its business and financial objectives. The role will be based in Sofia, Bulgaria and will report into a Manager / Associate Manager, Operations Finance, based in the same location. • Administers regular financial management of assigned balance sheet accounts for the projects to which they are assigned. • Performs regular reconciliations of revenues and billing for assigned projects from the start–up phase through close–out; prepares reports and analyses by manipulating large datasets in support of financial close processes. • At the conclusion of the project, follows the agreed processes to close the project down, ensuring that PPD has collected all amounts owed and any remaining final balances are appropriately cleared. • Identifies issues or anomalies related to said accounts / projects and provides a report to key business stakeholders detailing the findings and potential resolutions. • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to resolve billing, data and system issues in a timely manner, ensures proper approvals and comments and reports audit compliance. • In addition to individual project reconciliations and reports, supports management in assessing, and minimizing the risk on the total balance associated with assigned balance sheet accounts. • Proposes recommendations for process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies and improve the quality of reports and analyses. Qualifications: Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and / or a professional Accounting qualification – ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Good analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively; • Ability to be able to reconcile a large volume of complex transactions and report out the results; • Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles; • Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients; • Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations; • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results; • Fluent in English – strong written and oral communication skills; • Flexible, quick learner with attention to detail; • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and presentation of data; If you would like to continue your development in a multinational and dynamic environment, please submit your CV in English.
