Aston Carter are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Operational Risk to join one of Australia's leading Investment houses. The client are a multi-billion dollar fund manager with an industry leading reputation across Financial Marketas well as Infrastructure and Asset Management.
The Senior Manager Operational Risk will be a senior leader within the group function delivering a hybrid role across internal advisory and risk framework execution. The role will partner closely with the Executive Leadership team to ensure a robust risk framework is implemented at both a group and a divisional level. Key responsibilities include;
The Senior Manager Operational Risk will be a senior leader within the group function delivering a hybrid role across internal advisory and risk framework execution. The role will partner closely with the Executive Leadership team to ensure a robust risk framework is implemented at both a group and a divisional level. Key responsibilities include;
- Close partnership with the Group CRO and Group Head of Operational Risk to deliver a best in class framework for the group,
- Ownership over the annual internal audit process and regular risk assessment monitoring process,
- Take a key project lead role in the implementation of a new ERM platform,
- Ownwership over the breach identification, remediation and analysis process,
- Maintainenance of a close working relationship with key regulatory bodies, including APRA and ASIC.
- Act as an internal consultant providing regular consultative guidance to the senior leadership team around risk appetite, risk management and governance environment.
- Design and implement a rigorous risk identifcation and risk profiling framework.
- Partner with the Operational Risk and Internal Audit function across Financial Markets, Infrastructure and Asset Management divisions to instil an enterprise wide risk culture.
- Coach, mentor and develop the Group Operational Risk team.
- A Bachelor Degree across Finance, Accounting, Economics or Commerce and have completed post-graduate studies.
- A demonstrated background across Risk, Audit orAssurance Consulting that you have paired with experience within a Financial Services or Funds Management Institution.
- A proven ability to engage and develop a team.
- A keen interest and passion for senior executive partnering and driving industry best practice within an organisation.
