The Role

Reporting to the Board of Directors.

You will be responsible to oversee and provide leadership of core financial reporting functions which includes financial and management reporting, financial planning and budgeting control, treasury, liquidity, and cash flow management as well as debt and equity arising activities so as to contribute towards the realization of group vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reports for local and regional entities; ensure to meet the statutory requirements of ACRA filings, IRAS tax filings etc. as well as the requirements of China headquarter reporting package
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group, ensure adequate funds are available and efficient management of excess funds
  • Formulate, review and implement appreciate financial and internal controls in compliance with group reporting requirements and procedures; investigate problem areas and develop action plans to address and remediate these
  • Maintain relations with external parties over a spectrum of finance matters e.g. External auditors, tax agents, banker, valuers, China head office, overseas subsidiaries, counterparties e.g. law firms, accounting firms etc.
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
  • Work closely with other business units and departments in monitoring hotel assets, projects, and investments etc.
  • Perform analysis and simulations to ensure financial reports reflects the business activities and results to support business decision-making and strategy, explain the significant variance to budget and forecast of operation activities
  • Monitor and ensure that the group companies comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Report risk issues to the Board of directors and shareholders
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the management team
  • Monitor and ensure operations are in compliance with tax ordinances and devise methods to minimize the group companies’ various tax liabilities
  • Participate in the merger, acquisitions, including financial due diligence and negotiation
  • Perform other Ad-hoc projects or duties as and when assigned by the Board of Directors
  • Ensure an adequate ERP system us in place to meet the needs of the group companies
  • Responsible to cultivate talents in key positions and build a solid and efficient financial team.


To Qualify

  • Minimum Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 15 years of financial experience, at least 2 years of work experience as Financial Controller or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge in IFRS and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese is a must
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating and coordinating diverse areas of management
  • Able to travel for business trips
