NXTGEN are delighted to be exclusively supporting a very successful and expanding Engineering business to recruit a Financial Controller. This new role is a result of sustained success and business growth and it is expected that the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the business.

This is a business facing role in which the Financial Controller will be expected to provide key financial insight on performance and profitability, whilst also reviewing commercial proposals for future business wins. This varied role will remain hands on in the monthly accounts production and will be required to build strong working relationships with the wider Senior Management Team, influencing key business decisions.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Management of all commercial reporting and budgets including all revenue, OPEX, margin and EBITDA reports
- Business partner with departmental leads, identifying opportunities for increased profitability or operational efficiencies
- Production of all monthly financial packs for group
- Support with a variety of projects, producing all financial reports for project leads
- Contribute towards the preparation of balance sheets, P&L reports and cashflow statements
- Review current reporting processes and identify opportunities for improvements to systems and controls

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience in commercial/operational finance. You will be an effective business partner with confidence working across an organisation with international operations. Candidates will demonstrate strong IT and Excel skills with an ability to develop and use costing models.
