Robert Half Finance Accounting is actively searching for an earnest, resourceful Financial Controller to join the innovative team at an prominent services company. This is a leadership role with responsibility over an accounting and clerical department of 4–8 staff. As the Financial Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. Please send your resume to Megan Kozar at [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] What you get to do every single day – Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm–wide improvements, as needed – Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team – Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis – Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm–wide operation – Produce cash–flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash – Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll
– Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities – Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners – Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies – Handle monthly and yearly close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis – Financial reporting experience – Solid understanding of industry ERP (i.e. Deltek) – Experience with budget/ forecasting – Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing – Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills – Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement – Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued – 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred – Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment – Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred – BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
