Senior Analyst – Denver, CO
Salary– $80k plus 50%–75% bonus of annual salary


Our client is a private investment firm with offices in Cleveland, New York and Denver. The firm makes buyout and growth investments in lower middle–market companies with revenues between $10 and $75 million in regulated industrial sectors, including but not limited to aerospace & defense, energy (oil & gas, water/wastewater) and healthcare. The firm typically takes a control position in conjunction with each investment and focuses principally on complex entrepreneur–owned and corporate carve–out transactions. The firm has been investing with the same strategy since 1999 and currently is investing out of its third fund.


This position is for a Senior Analyst in the Denver office. Deal teams are lean and typically consist of two or three investment professionals. This requires the Senior Analyst to be largely self–directed and comfortable rolling up their sleeves in an entrepreneurial environment and have the maturity, professionalism and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external professionals. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Evaluation of new investment opportunities including transaction screening, analysis and due diligence

• Pre– and post–close financial and operational modeling

• Interaction with lenders, bankers, attorneys and other external service providers

• In–depth financial, market, competitor, and supply chain analysis

• Development and preparation of bid packages and investment committee materials

• Strategic and operational involvement with portfolio companies and senior executive teams

• Preparation of closing books and tracking of financial performance of portfolio companies

• Drafting of quarterly portfolio update reports to limited partners


Potential candidates should possess the following:

• 2 – 4 years of investment banking or private equity experience

• M&A execution experience on live transactions

• Previous private equity, mezzanine lending, M&A, leveraged finance or financial sponsors group experience is preferred, but not required

• Strong analytic and financial modeling skills

• Exceptional critical thinking skills and a demonstrable ability to develop conclusions and recommendations from prepared analyses

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic

• A record of achievement at an academically rigorous undergraduate institution


$80K plus 50–75% annual bonus incentive

Compensation will consist of a competitive base salary and performance bonus. The position is targeted for two to three years, although exceptional candidates may be considered for earlier advancement depending on performance and the firm's needs.
