Our client is currently seeking a 3 – Sr. Financial Analyst – Mill Manufacturing.The three areas would be Southeast Region, Mid–Atlantic and Northeast region.

When we say Infinite Possibilities, we mean it. Business Environment The selected candidate will be assigned to the Finance Staff Group at one of our Paper Mills.
Job responsibilities will include interacting with mill operations personnel on a day–to–day basis, as well as performing some more routine financial assignments. These assignments can include measuring progress against meeting various objectives, analyzing business results, developing an annual budget and preparing short–term forecasts. This finance position is responsible for assisting the Controller in the more complex, analytical projects, operating model and standards maintenance and assisting in ensuring adequate internal controls are in place and adhered to Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following: •Actively participate as a member of the Finance Team and support assigned mill business units.•Review/analyze key performance measures and variances.•Develop the annual budget and assure that product cost information is accurate.•Participate in annual strategic plan development, analysis and reporting.•Monthly reporting and communication of financial performance against objectives.•Assist the Controller in maintaining the mill's compliance with corporate and division policies and procedures and that accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.•Assist with evaluation of Mill capital projects and work with various departments on operations optimization and improvement projects.•Assist Mill with streamlining of mill finance functions and related activities.
Qualifications: •MBA is preferred but not essential•Education – bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or business administration.•5 –7 years of experience in a financial function within a manufacturing organization •Geographic flexibility.•Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively with others•Comfortable using spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel) and other databases.•This position requires a self–starter that can not only learn on the fly but coach and teach others to promote a good working environment. The individual must have great people skills to deal with individuals throughout the organization and be able to work effectively in a manufacturing organization.
