Finance Analyst

Our client, a global market leader with a strong reputation for recognising and retaining top talent, is looking to source a talented Finance Analyst to join on an interim basis. Due to the size of the business and volume of internal opportunities on offer, it would be very likely a more long-term or permanent position would arise during the initial 6 month tenure, providing the successful candidate proves themselves to be a strong team fit and consistent performer.

The role will be responsible for providing support to the IT Finance team with a focus on high profile IT implementation programme platforms. The team implements group-wide IT solutions, leading governance processes and drives strategy and best practice, responsible for an OPEX budget of c£120m. You’ll get great exposure to senior leadership too and will be a fantastic learning experience for an ambitious and proactive self-starter.

Main duties include:

• Managing a capex budget and corresponding opex

• Project accounting and finance partnering to Project Management

• Full end to end accounting of project costs

• FTE reporting

• Acting as key point of contact for PMs and Finance support

• Raising intercompany invoices and intercompany reconciliations

• Assisting with reporting, providing commentary and review

• Ad hoc work such as capitalisation of projects, assisting with review of business cases and assisting with 5 year plan and budget activities

Key skills & experience required:

• Studying towards ACCA/CIMA

• Demonstrable analytical experience and strong Excel

• Proactive and positive attitude towards challenges and problem solving

• Confident communicator, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders

• Examples to date working in a fast-paced and complex environment
