Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring that the general functions of the accounts department are run smoothly
- Assist the Chief Account in the preparation and collection of accurate data for Budget preparation.
- Ensure daily reconciliation and correction of reception receipts. Banking is done daily and proof of banking is ensured.
- Ensure reconciliation of Green fees receipted and the guests signed in while ensuring that they are charged the appropriate rates application.
- Reconciliation of Gym Attendance and billings to avoid revenue leakage.
- Ensure that all entries to member accounts are posted every month and statements are sent out in time (Including back office entries like Surcharge, Minimum Expenditure, monthly lottery).
- Ensure correctness of entries passed by other staff in the department to avoid mis-postings.
- Ensure complete and accurate entries by the Kitchen departments. All event orders for functions are prepared and forwarded to accounts for billing and accounting for income.
- Assist in ensuring that other departments pass all entries for usage and post to the correct cost centers.
- Assist in the timely preparation of the end of year audit.
- Ensure that the guest cards refunds are properly documented and the refunds forwarded to the guests via MPESA
- Ensure that all fixed assets procured are tagged and posted correctly in the books.
- Ensure that all licenses are paid for and renewed in time.
- Assist in checking the accuracy of the entries in the general ledger by the team.
- Ensure that the Suppliers' statements are reconciled to the Club's statements.
- Ensure that the Suppliers are paid in time as per Club policy to avoid derailing of services.
- Ensure that both the Captain and Lady Captains kitty accounts are finalized and forwarded to the Captains for their monthly meetings.

Academic, Professional qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance/Accounting
- CPA(K)
- Must have at least 2 years' experience in a Supervisory Accounting position preferably in a hospitality industry
- Experience working with SAGE ERP is a MUST.
