If opportunity doesn't knock, then build a door! The world largest property firm are currently in search of a Financial Accountant to join their busy finance team. We are looking for someone who is

a team player, accurate, technically correct, timely and robust. It is also essential that you are a proficient user of Oracle PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the statutory financial reporting of the entire company under UK GAAP. This includes Published Accounts, Taxation matters, and other statutory reporting to public bodies e.g. NSO

• Responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the Company Balance Sheet and Balance Sheet Commentary. Review Business Units results and challenge. Review of processes. Completion of all balance sheet reconciliations each month, with a proactive resolution of any issues within them

• Driving and agreeing any financial policy requirements with the Financial Director, Financial Controller, Reporting Managers and Divisional Financial Directors

• Development of reports common to all Business Units reporting on the above and also driving forward efficiency and the quality of information

• Review of monthly fixed asset register maintenance, reconciliation and monthly posting of depreciation as carried out by the ACA trainee

• Review of monthly debt and WIP reports as prepared by the Working Capital Manager

Prepare month–end reconciliations of intercompany accounts and calculate and post interest payable & receivable accruals

• Completion of month end reporting to parent company, including Peoplesoft/HFM reporting and answering queries from the EMEA and US finance teams

• Reviewing and reporting on performance, identifying and highlighting any areas of opportunity or weakness to the wider commercial audience, including the senior management team

The Candidate:

• A recognised Accountancy Qualification, preferably ACA (min 1 year post qual)

• Experience of using Peoplesoft ERP system

• Experience of similar role in a medium sized business

• Use of MS Excel to an intermediate/advance level

• IT Skills to lead, process and reporting developments to achieve key tasks, and to give the business a sound reporting base

• Well developed, strong communication skills enabling the individual to work with Board

• Members, clients, suppliers, and staff to all levels and abilities
