The Financial Controller will provide insightful and transparent information and support, helping to drive decision-making across the business. This position is suitable for someone who is motivated to make a positive difference. It is a hands on role and requires the need to both challenge and support commercial and financial issues across the business.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the Finance and Payroll Departments - including managing and developing junior members of the team
  • Ensure a high quality and robust controls framework
  • Challenging and contributing to business and commercial decisions
  • Being an integral and collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Month-end reporting and Management Accounts
  • Creating a high value Business Performance reporting to analyse variance whilst driving continuous process improvements
  • Building and maintain key relationship with internal and external stakeholders


The successful Financial Controller should:

  • Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong technical and commercial experience
  • Proven track record of leadership and management - including training and developing staff
  • IT savvy with an ability to interrogate databases directly, extracting, manipulating and reporting information
  • Well-rounded and commercially astute
  • Ability to energise, organise and develop others
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced business and can promote growth and change
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with people of all levels

Job Offer

Salary £45,000 to £50,000
