As our Freight & Duty Accounts Payable Rep, you are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely review and processing of freight, parcel, and duty billing for all domestic, import, and foreign–to–foreign shipments for Burton. The position requires the ability to adapt to dynamic global work–environment where conscientious attention to detail is vital.

The Breakdown:

Day–to–day functions include: internal processing of a high volume of transportation invoices, resolving discrepancies with internal and external contacts, researching payment issues and implementing corrective action, support of the daily operations of the logistics department, and the ability to respond to routine and special assignments with flexibility, cooperation, and a positive disposition that reflects the Burton's Stance.

What You Get to Do:

  • Verification, posting, and timely payment of invoices.
  • Research and rectify invoice, credit memo, and payment discrepancies
  • Set up wire and ACH payments via bank websites.
  • Conduct day to day customer service and interaction with external and internal contacts.
  • Research and respond to vendor inquiries in a courteous, effective and timely manner.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.
  • Support Accounts Payable team and other departments within the organization as needed.
  • Review and evaluate vendor payable payment data to ensure compliance with company standard payment terms.
What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Knowledge of SAP Software Solutions preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and undertake multiple and diverse activities, adhering to deadlines.
  • Display exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
