Head of Regulatory and Technical Reporting

Newly created role to head up regulatory reporting for a market-leading personal lines Insurance company. Aim to improve Solvency II reporting, control and process and all regulatory reporting matters as well as leading IFRS17 implementation

Description

The Key responsibilities for this Head of Regulatory and Technical Reporting Include:

• Working with reserving actuaries, take the lead on Solvency II Pillar 3 quarterly Returns
• Take the lead on IFRS17 implementation
• Manage delivery of audit across the business, including actuarial deliverables and lead on audit and Plc finance interactions
• Provide technical training and support to finance and actuarial teams
• Deputise for the Finance Director as required
• Working with the actuarial team, provide challenge and insight on reserve surplus generation, margin and risk pricing
• Embed new systems and processes to deliver robust SII and regulatory reporting
• Assist with regulatory and other insurance technical reporting requirements as needed by Financial Reporting & Control team

Profile

The successful candidate for the Head of Regulatory and Technical Reporting role will:

- Be fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACAC or CIMA)

- Have excellent Insurance / Solvency II knowledge

- Be an excellent communicator

- Have excellent leadership and project management experience

Job Offer

Basic salary from £75-90,000 + car + benefits
