Financial Controller

The client that I am working with is looking for a financial controller to work with domestic and EMEA elements of the business to ensure compliance with numerous regulations and policies.

The client we are working with is a global retail organisation - operating across Europe, Scandinavia and the USA.

Description

In addition to monthly and weekly internal/external reporting, the successful candidate will liaise with other finance teams within the business, work to USGAAP, UKGAAP, IFRS and SOx.
There will be elements of presentation of reports to heads of department and also working with internal and external auditors

Monthly results & close responsibility for UK, Norway, Sweden & Denmark and Zipcar (UK & EMEA)
Ensure maintenance of internal control environment within the daily processes for BSC
Support or complete local tax and VAT submissions
Ensure compliance and adherence to group accounting policy and protocols
Compliance with local statutory reporting requirements

Profile

Our client is looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), ideally with significant experience in IFRS, USGAAP, UKGAAP and SOx).
Extensive technical experience is also a prerequisite.

A proven record of working with different teams across different geographical regions would be an advantage.

Strong Excel and Orcale knowledge is also desirable.
