Temporary Project Accountant

As the Project Accountant, you will initially undertake 2 seperate projects based around developing systems.

My client is a fantastic organisation based commutable distance north of Cardiff.

They are growing from strength to strengh at the moment and a key player in their filed.

Description

Reporting to the Group Accountant, the project accountant will undertake 2 initial projects in the business.

1- Move the Fixed Asset Register from the current system to the current Accounting system. (the Fixed Assets are ran off of the main system).

This will include tidying up the Asset Register to make it more streamlined, merging certain areas of the Fixed Asset register that similar and adding in new codes.

2 - Work with the Stakeholders in the business to understand their needs/requirments from Finance. Using this information you will be able to understand if the current system can meet their requirements. If it does, you can develop the system to meet their needs, role out a suite of training and work with the business so they understand the changes. If the system (in its current format) cant meet the requirements, work with the external IT provider to understand costs of "add ons", new apps etc that will inevitably will add value to the business.

Profile

Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant, however qbe's with relevant skills will be considered.

You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be able to train and develop leaders and users on new systems.

You will have excellent attention to detail.

Ideally you will know your way around a Fixed Asset register.

Job Offer

An initial 3 months assignment, however it is likely this will be extended.

Salary c£19-23 per hour

free onsite parking.
