Description
- To prepare of consolidated monthly management accounts and flash reports for the Board and operational management team with appropriate commentary and forecasts.
- To produce of the year end statutory schedules of the group including liaison with the external auditors as required.
- To deal with other operational finance matters including oversight of the annual budgets, quarterly returns to funders, various areas of procurement and cash flow forecasts.
- To provide effective management of the finance team including taking responsibility for the delivery of the finance team service standards, KPIs and deadlines and line management, training and supporting the other members of the finance team as required.
- To provide monthly reporting, finance training and support to budget holders and other operational managers. To liaise with budget holders with monthly reporting to understand any variances.
- To achieve individual targets and contribute to meeting departmental KPIs.
- To promote the finance department in the organisation and to encourage collaboration with operational teams.
- To be responsible for effective communication both internally and externally and to proactively and positively promote the association.
- To provide a cost effective and value for money service.
- To develop services both within the department and organisation wide, including delivering financial training to other staff and managers and working on projects as required.
Profile
- Qualified accountant
- Experience managing a small team
- Experience in running a small finance function covering month end process from end to end.
