Administrative Assistant – Finance Department

This is an entry level position requiring good organisation and multi-tasking skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and experience. The role would suit a part qualified Accounting Technician or a candidate considering commencing training as an accounting technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of the day to day accounting function of Baker Tilly
• Accurate posting and data entry to firm’s software packages
• Posting of purchase invoices, set up creditors’ payment and monthly creditors reconciliation
• Bank lodgements/cheque requisition and bank reconciliation
• Assist with monthly close off
• Deal with supplier queries and invoices
• General administration duties in support of the finance team
• Reception duties

Required Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional telephone manner
• Ability to multitask and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite
• Familiar with accounting software packages
