Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports; reviews and analyzes accounting transactions; and assists in developing and maintaining financial accounting and reporting systems. Duties and Responsibilities:

Consolidation and preparation of Monthly Results Reporting package distributed to senior management. This is highly visible and provides management a lens to view consolidated results.
Prepares and analyzes various schedules for inclusion into quarterly Board package for distribution to Board of Directors.
Cross–functional collaboration in managing monthly close process.
Reviews and analyzes accounting transactions and the resulting account balances on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual GAAP statements and reports.
Prepares various compliance filings and other industry–related forms.
Maintain ownership of accounting for processes such as Corporate Debt and Post–Retirement Benefits
Assist in coordination with internal and external auditors.
Play a critical role in the design and maintenance of general ledger reports necessary to complete the financial reporting process.
All other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or progress towards preferred.
Minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and motivated.
Strong foundation in GAAP accounting principles and eagerness to learn.
Understanding of and ability to work with computerized accounting and reporting systems.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a diverse group of talented individuals.
