Client Details

The client is a renowned publishing company based in the heart of East London. They have recently acquired some big name newspapers and due to expansion, there is a need for a junior data analyst to join their team.

Description

The key responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Finance Directors across specialist functions and the Nationals Finance Business Analyst
• Extracting data for analysis from core systems (GL/Diver/ASP/BPC/DFP)
• Creation and maintenance of financial reports (tables, graphs etc) as required
• Liaise with the Accounting Hubs on matters where required
• Involvement in projects and ad hoc costing exercises
• Data collation for weekly forecasts
• KPI reporting for all specialist functions
• Collation of consolidated financials
• Cover work tasks during holidays, sickness and absence - across both functions

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA (or at least actively studying)

• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (SAP BPC skills preferable)

• Strong interpersonal and decision making skills

• Able to work on projects unsupervised or as part of a team

• Previous 2-3 year's experience in similar finance analyst role preferable

• Knowledge of Media/Publishing industry preferable
