A varied Assistant Accountant role for a nationwide company based in the Witney area. An exciting and versatile role, the client is searching for a candidate willing to take a step up into a detailed accounts position.

Client Details

A large company with both nationwide and international scope. This company has a large finance function, and is currently in the process of expansion, specifically in an Assistant Accountant post.

Career development and progression is somthing they are known for and they will offer the direct support and training.

Description

Key Responsibilities include;

  • Raising sales invoice to partners using stock and accounting system
  • Daily release of stock orders approved for delivery
  • Collection of outstanding, aged debt from concession partners
  • Posting of debit notes as required
  • Management of debt security/letters of credit for partner accounts
  • Business partner with internal franchise and wholesale teams to resolve issues with accounts
  • Investigate discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain the accuracy of the accounting systems.
  • This can involve discussions with both internal and external contacts.
  • Any revenue and stock shortage adjustments that result must be recorded accurately
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Weekly reporting of sales and debtors ageing for accounts
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes to automate tasks and drive efficiencies
  • Cover for other management accounting colleagues during absences.

    The Assistant Accountant successful candidate will currently be working within finance, with previous experience in a similar role already held. They will be looking for a step up to progress their career and will be looking for a stable role within an exciting company.
