Description
Michael Page are working exclusively with a large Public Sector organisation in Cardiff who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant and or a Capital Accountant on an initial 6 month temporary contract.
Reporting the the Head of Financial Accounting, both roles play a key part in the production of the annual accounts and budget monitoring.
The Financial Accountant will produce the Statement of Accounts and complete a range of reconciliations as well as ad hoc projects as they arise.
The Capital Accountant will be responsible for ongoing monitoring and budgeting of the capital programme, alll technical aspects for year end close of capital and fixed assets, journal entries and depreciation's.
Profile
You will be a qualified accountant and hold ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA qualifications.
You will have strong financial accounts experience, particularly around year end close to IFRS.
For the Capital Accountant role, you will need relevant Capital Accountant/Fixed Asset Accounting skills.
You will have excellent systems skills and excel skills.
The roles will commence in early January 2019, so you will need to be available from week commencing 14th January at the latest.
